ATSE Fellowship announcement featuring Dr Liming Zhu FTSE, Research Director at CSIRO, with the citation Trustworthy AI innovator and an ATSE Fellow elected 2026 badge.

Elected a Fellow of ATSE

I’m honoured and grateful to have been elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE).

Every achievement behind this recognition is a shared one. Thank you to my team, colleagues and collaborators, and to CSIRO for the support that has made impact at scale possible.

The citation “trustworthy AI innovator” means a great deal to me. At this pivotal moment for AI, I take those words as a mission to keep working towards, with much still to learn and contribute.

For me, this Fellowship is a starting point for greater service to the community. I look forward to advancing the Academy’s mission by helping Australians understand and use technology to solve complex problems, bringing evidence to public decisions, and supporting the next generation.

Thank you to the Academy and its selection committees. My particular thanks to my nominator, seconder, supporters and referees for the considerable time and care you invested in my nomination and supporting materials. I deeply appreciate your generosity and will pay it forward.
