2nd International Workshop on Responsible AI Engineering & Book Lounge

Day 3 at ICSE! We CSIRO’s Data61 organised the 2nd international workshop on responsible AI engineering, with committee members from the US (NIST Apostol Vassilev, Germany (Fraunhofer Maximilian Poretschkin), and Canada (Foutse Khomh). The event saw fantastic attendance, with almost all seats filled and additional chairs brought in to accommodate the crowd, with some attendees even standing!

Qinghua Lu kicked off the workshop with insightful keynotes, featuring Ipek Ozkaya from CMU/SEI and Hironori Washizaki (incoming @IEEE president) from Waseda University. Our own Muneera Bano delivered an exceptional paper presentation on AI diversity and inclusion, sparking vital conversations among attendees. And thanks for the wonderful support from Boming Xia

We also held a dedicated book session https://lnkd.in/gsQz5swy exploring the motivations, history, and core messages of the book, discussing how we transition from high-level principles and management practices to tangible, reusable solutions, and from AI models to AI systems. If you are at hashtag#ICSE2024, come to our booth or find us to discuss further. If you want to promote the book on social media, let us know, and you may receive a free copy!
