Microsoft AI Summit Panel: Industry Insights on AI Adoption Barriers

I was glad to share some observations on AI adoption and challenges, both from CSIRO’s perspective as a science organisation and as scientists building science copilots and AI agents, as well as CSIRO’s collaboration with industry. I emphasised the importance of AI system-level evaluation, test cases, organisational learning, and the nuanced roles humans play in these processes. The audience was very engaged and responded well, particularly to some of the wry humour throughout the discussion.
